Bear Lake

This was our last bit of fun before school started. Every summer my family takes trip up to Bear Lake. It is always so nice just to get away for a few days before the summer is over. This year the kids seemed to enjoy it more than usual, probably because they are a bit older.
We don't really have anything planned. In the morning Jones and I would get up around 6:30 and he would ride his bike while I went for a run. Then we would go set up our stuff on the beach. We really enjoyed our mornings together! After that we would just hang out in the condo until lunch time maybe play a game of tennis, and then head out to the beach. At the beach we built sand castles, rode the jet ski's, and had a few games of football and soccer. After the beach we would get cleaned up, eat dinner, and play our nightly game of progressive rummy. Not really anything too exciting, but we all had a lot of fun. Here are Jones and Jaimin playing at the playground. Jaimin loved the fact that he could just hop on his bike and head down to the playground. The only problem is he thought he could go at any time he wanted.

These two pictures were the closest thing we got to a family picture.

Building sand castles. Notice the power lines. Jones was really proud of them.

Here is a picture of Jaimin of the first day. The poor kid was so sick with a headache that all he could do was lay there. Anytime we would try to give him medicine he would gag and throw it all up. Luckily it didn't last too long, by about 5 o'clock he was up and being his happy old self again.

What a fun tradition to have. Sometimes doing nothing is more fun than always having something planned. Looks like fun to me.

Sad about the headache. Does he get them often...poor little guy.

Your vacation sounds perfect! I sorta hate the regimented trips. It's nice to just do whatever, whenever you want.

On my blogger list 4 people's latest posts were about Bear Lake!

Actually this is his first headache ever. I think it might be because of the drive the night before (he gets motion sickness) and he got very little sleep. I am hoping it will be his last, it was pretty bad the poor kid could hardly walk.
That is funny so many people blogged about Bear Lake. I think this is the first year didn't see at least 3 people I knew up there.
